About Hierba Malita:

Luya Moreno aka Hierba Malita is a queer Latinx DJ based in Austin, Texas. Luya was born in Houston, TX and raised by a talented seamstress for a mother and a touring musician father.

Outside of music, Luya is actively involved in the community as an Art Teacher and participates in Child Youth Development Programs. After being a DJ and Blog Director for KVRX 91.7 FM, Luya founded the creative collective FLWRPOT.CO, which actively does official press, playlists, DJ mixes, interviews, and events focused on nurturing BIPOC and queer communities.

Luya looks to further grow creatively through the release of a debut EP with producer Woot Noot.
