About Catherine:

As a doctoral candidate in historical musicology at the University of Texas at Austin, Catherine Heemann explores medieval music theory, pedagogy, diffusion, and global approaches to music studies. She was a Junior Fellow with the Blount Scholars Program at the University of Alabama from 2016-2018 and a 2024-2025 Pre-Doctoral Research Resident at the Center for the Art and Architectural History of Port Cities in Naples, Italy.
